Cancellation Policy:
Sometimes things happen and you have to cancel or reschedule your appointment and that's ok. There is no fee if notification is given at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
Being sick is not predictable. If you wake up and have any cold or flu symptoms, please do not come in for your appointment. Massage will make those symptoms magnify and out of respect for your therapist and other clients coming in, so they don't get sick, it would be best for you to reschedule your appointment.
Arriving Late:
Out of respect and consideration of my time and other clients, please plan to be on time. Arrive 10 minutes early for any appointment in order to get the full time scheduled. If you arrive right on time or late, I can only give you whatever time remains of your appointment, and you will be responsible to pay the full length of the session you requested.
*This time is scheduled just for you and only you which is why I will require a credit card to be on file to reserve and guarantee your appointment. However, it WILL NOT be charged unless you do not adhere to the Cancellation/No-Show policy.
**Notification that is given less than 24 hours prior to the appointment time will result in a 100% charge of the reserved service amount. Also, failure to arrive (no-show) for your scheduled appointment will result in a 100% charge of the reserved service amount.
Conduct Policy:
You understand that massage or bodywork should not be construed as a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment and that you should see a physician, chiropractor, or other qualified medical specialist for any mental or physical ailment of which you are aware.
You understand that massage/bodywork practitioners are not qualified to perform spinal or skeletal adjustments, diagnose, prescribe, or treat any physical or mental illness, and that nothing said in the course of the session given should be construed as such.
Because massage/bodywork should not be performed under certain medical conditions, you will need to state all your known medical conditions and answer all questions honestly on the New Client intake forms that will be provided at your 1st appointment with me.
You agree to keep the practitioner updated as to any changes in your medical profile and understand that there shall be no liability on the practitioner's part should you fail to do so.
You understand that any illicit or sexually suggestive remarks or advances made by you will result in immediate termination of the session, and you will be liable for the full payment of the scheduled appointment.
Minor Policy:
Minors are permitted to receive massage in the practice.
Parent or legal guardian must be present in helping complete the Health History Form for the minor, along with consent for the massage therapy session.
Minors (all clients under the age of 18 - unless otherwise emancipated) can only receive massage with written parental/legal guardian consent.
In collaboration with the consenting adult and child, the massage therapist will assist in establishing goals for the session(s).
Draping Policy:
Appropriate draping will be used at all times during the massage, only areas being massaged are uncovered. No exceptions will be made for draping policies. If you are too warm, the top blanket can be removed, table heat can be turned down/off, but the sheet will remain draped at all times over any area not being massaged.
