HI!
My name is Diana Mohr and I am a licensed massage therapist who founded Black Hills Body Contouring & Therapeutic Massage. Having personally experienced back pain, I understand the impact pain can have on a person's phusical and emotional well-being.
I ruptured a lower back disc and found that massage was the only thing that brought me any kind of relief until I had a disc replacement in New York. After my surgery, massage helped in my recovery process.
One day I was on a route with another driver ( I used to drive for a living) and he said, if you could go to school for anything, what would it be? I was 45 at the time and never thought it was possible for me to think of going to school. I told him I would go for massage therapy, I love massage! He said I should call and check it out, it's never too late to change directions. I made that phone call to talk to the massage director at Headlines Academy and I was in school 1 month later.
I wanted to just do spa massage, help people relax. But as I moved forward I wanted to not only help people relax, I wanted to get them out of pain that lasted for more than 10 minutes. Thats when I decided to go back for my Medical Massage Practitioner Certification. That changed everything!
I now teach Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, and Pathology along with bodywork all over the US. I am an NCBTMB (National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork) approved provider for licensed massage therapy continuting education.
Massage is my passion. My commitment to excellence has earned me referrals from satisfied clients and healthcare professionals in the Rapid City and Black Hills areas. With a focus on advanced bodywork techniques, I have helped many clients alleviate head, neck, and back pain and provide much needed relief from many conditions and dysfunction.
Outside of my practice and teaching, I enjoy spending time with my kids and grandkids, my furry family, and traveling. I love the sunshine, and rainy, misty, foggy days are my favorite, snow...well let's just say I am excited to no longer be a driver!
